Jelly Roll has promised to help a fan pay for their college education. It all started during a show in Nashville last month when he spotted a young woman holding up a sign on her phone that read, "Please pay my tuition." "We're gonna talk about what college you go to, what your GPA is, and if all that checks out, we will help you get through school," he promised her from the stage. Jelly Roll sent his team over to get more information from her. According to Nashville ABC affiliate WKRN, her name is Joy Gadella and she grew up in Antioch, just like Jelly Roll. She moved to online school after being bullied in the seventh grade and she graduated with a GPA of 3.8. The singer's life story and music inspired Joy to enroll at Belmont University with the intention of becoming a criminal justice lawyer. He also helped the 18-year-old decide to quit drinking. Joy went to the concert to enjoy a night out after spending the last month taking care of her grandmother in the hospital.
